This curved folding sliding door system was designed to be the link between a period coach house and a modern bungalow. The 6 door leaf system was individually crafted using Western Red Cedar. This lightweight timber contains an array of colours, from light straw, to pinkish red and deep, rich brown. Western Red Cedar is an extremely dimensionally stable timber; its low density and air filled cellular structure, make it one of the finest thermal insulators among commonly available softwoods.
Sourced in the British Columbia coastal forest; the slow-growing, naturally durable cedar has the longest life span of any tree found there. British Columbia is recognised as a global leader in sustainable forest management, an essential trait for all of our materials.
